Jammu: The two senior ministers of the rightwing Bharatiya Janata Party tendered their resignations to the State BJP chief on Friday.

BJP General Secretary Ashok Koul confirmed that the two BJP ministers, Chaudhary Lal Singh and Chander Prakash Ganga had submitted their resignations to the State BJP President, Sat Sharma.

Singh and Ganga had rallied in support of the rapists and murderers of the eight-year-old Gujjar girl from Kathua.

Koul said the BJP would hold a legislature party meeting on Saturday in which fate of both the ministers would be decided.

Meanwhile, BJP national General Secretary Ram Madhav is visiting Jammu on Saturday and he would chair the party meeting at 1 pm.

According to BJP sources, the resignation of the two ministers would be accepted.
